Building Your Twitch Channel
Hello, again Adventurers! I see you have gotten your channels up and ready to go! Now it is time to talk about the small details that can help you gain more regular viewers.
Panels
Panels are where you can share info about your channel and encourage people to follow your streams. Now, what info should you share in your panels? The top three panels you will want to include are an about me panel, rules for the chat, and a schedule for when you are going live.
About Me
The About Me Panel is pretty much just telling the world who you are and what your channel is about. On my channel, BryceIsTubing, in my About Me panel, I share what types of games I like to show off and some small details about my life that can be used as talking points during a stream.
Rules
The Rule panel is where you can lay down the law for your stream. In my rules, I keep it simple. No cursing, bullying, or spamming in chat. Offenders will be muted and repeats will result in a permanent ban from the channel. We are all here to have fun and blow off some steam from the day.
Schedule
This panel is probably the most important for viewers who like your content and want to see more. Having a schedule lets your viewers know that you will be continuing to stream on a regular basis instead of the one time. For my streaming schedule, I like to go live at 4:30 pm until 7 pm PST almost every day. I make sure to update it every month. For January I am streaming every day except Wednesdays and Fridays. If I am unable to go live because of other events that are preventing me from streaming then I let my community know by making an announcement on my channel’s social media pages.
These are just the tip of the iceberg of what you can include in your panels. Click the link below to check out Wild4Games video “Best Twitch Panel Customization.” Wild shares what you need for your panels and other information that would be helpful to have for curious viewers.
