Beginning The Next Chapter

Hello, everyone for the past 9 months I have been working on an apprenticeship program called Praxis. During those nine months, I have created projects and made pitches for over fifty different companies.

This past week I accepted an offer to work as a Sales Agent for Symmetry Financial Group. For the remaining six months of the Praxis Apprenticeship, I will be beginning my career in sales and I want to take this time to reflect.

What’s your dream job?

My dream job at this point would have to be the owner of my own company. I enjoy the challenge of building a system that works and finding ways to improve it. I miss having the option to schedule my own times instead of a normal nine to five job. Basically having that freedom to operate in a manner that is effective and not time-consuming.

What’s one thing you can do at your apprenticeship to make it easier for you to make that dream job a reality at some point in the future?

The great thing about Symmetry is that many of their Agents within about two years can set up their own firms under the Symmetry brand. Currently, Symmetry is looking to open up firms in Washington practically in my home town. For me, this is an amazing opportunity to be mentored and become a business owner. As for what I can do to make this a reality. I need to over accomplish my goals ahead of schedule.

What’s the most important thing you want to be, do, or have at the end of your apprenticeship?

The Praxis Apprenticeship lasts for another six months so in six months time I want to be in a position where I can purchase my first duplex. That way I have a place to call my own and make an income from renters.

Heading into your apprenticeship, what you’re biggest fear or concern?

My biggest question heading into my apprenticeship is this the right environment for me? Can I succeed here and build a career that I can be proud of?
