Writer’s Block | Week 39

The dull can be uninspiring; however, it can be inspiring in its own way.” – Bryce Ward 1/30/2021

I will admit this past week. I have been struggling with Writers Block. Good thing I had some spare stories already created. However, it did get me thinking. How do I overcome Writer’s Block?

Fighting Writer’s Block

For myself, getting started on writing a story is usually the most challenging part. However, once I get going, I can write none stop for a good 20 minutes. If I cannot develop something to get started with, I will often go work out or drink more water to get myself moving and refreshed. Also, I find it helpful to have music playing in the background, preferably music with no lyrics. For example, I love playing Pokémon battle music. My favorite would have to be Mirror B’s battle music from Gale of Darkness. From my experience, removing distractions or giving yourself a chance to recharge are good ways to overcome Writer’s Block.

Thank You!
