Building On YouTube | Week 43

It may surprise you that even in today’s world, there are still problems others have yet to solve or even find.” – Bryce Ward 2/27/2021

Hello everyone! Three weeks ago, I shared with you Nate Woodberry’s strategy of using How To videos to capture a small niche and build your audience over time. I also shared with you how ElementFive used the How To tactic to grew his viewership in the gaming world through Darkest Dungeon. This week I want to discuss how I plan to expand my gaming channel, BryceIsTubing, using this tactic on Barotrauma.

Barotrauma

This past month my friends have introduced me to Barotrauma, a 2D co-op submarine game. As we have been playing and learning how to survive the dangers of Europa, I have discovered a fantastic opportunity. Currently, searching for how-to videos on YouTube primary brings up gameplay videos. Very few how-to videos on the current version of Barotrauma exist on YouTube. This provides me with an opportunity to capture a very niche audience and grow the channel as a whole. Next month, I plan to put together a list of questions I have on playing Barotrauma and creating videos answering those questions.

“Barotrauma is a 2D co-op submarine – in space, with survival horror elements. Steer your submarine, give orders, fight monsters, fix leaks, operate machinery, man the guns and craft items, and stay alert: danger in Barotrauma doesn’t announce!”

Thank You!

Hey, thank you for reading this week’s post! I hope you found this week’s post interesting. It is not every day you find an opportunity to capture a niche market. I am excited to start recording and see how this project goes! Have you ever found a niche problem that you could fix? How did it turn out for you?

Thank you again for your time and for reading this post!

Have a fantastic day!

Sincerely,

-Bryce Ward
