Great news, everyone! Over this past week, my family welcomed a new baby calf to the world. The farm is growing, and I’m excited to have a new addition to the family!

Meet The Parents

Meet Jess. She is a Scottish Highlander. I’m real proud of big momma Jess as this is her third calf she has given birth to. So far, she has three boys, two of which have black fur like their father and our newest calf has his mother’s orange hair. Fun fact did you know that a female cow is called a heifer.

Meet Moe or best know as the Gatebreaker on our farm. As the big bull on the farm, he has taken out two gates and four sections of fencing so far. Fun fact Moe’s father’s hoofs were roughly the size of dinner plates. Overall though, he is a goofy guy and a gentle giant. So far, Moe has fathered five healthy calves and is also a Scottish Highlander.
